Cormant Technologies to provide Citizen Journalism Application to leading Philippine broadsheet, The Manila Times
METRO MANILA, Philippines – August 10, 2017 – Cormant Technologies Inc. (“Cormant Technologies”) announces that it has signed an agreement with a leading broadsheet in the Philippines, The Manila Times, to provide a Citizen Journalism mobile application.
The Citizen Journalism mobile application will use Cormant Technologies’ PowerForm™ platform used by corporations to digitize paper forms (delivery, sales, repairs, insurance etc.) to be processed on smart phones and then managed through a web based workflow. For The Manila Times, the PowerForm™ smart phone application will be configured specifically to allow readers/citizens to report news and information to the broadsheet’s experienced senior correspondents. These reports will be assessed and validated and may then be used as part of articles published in The Manila Times.
Ian Wilson, President and CEO of Cormant, said “Tessa has valuable expertise in the delivery of HR advice and supporting projects across different service areas to achieve organizational and business/strategic goals. Tessa will lead the entire HR function, which will help to support Cormant’s growth and development of HR practices in all areas of operations.”
Wilson added: “This is an exciting time for Tessa to join Cormant as the company continues to benefit from a period of innovation and growth, particularly within the area of mobile workforce software solutions for enterprises. Following the launch of iReport (www.iReport.ph) late last year, Cormant has received considerable interest from companies in many industry sectors moving to use digital forms with a complete workflow.”
