Privacy Policy

Cormant Technologies Inc. (referred to herein as “Cormant”, “we”, “us” or “our” or other pronouns that are similar) provides different applications for smartphones, tablet devices, web applications, and other connected devices (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy is designed to set out Cormant’s practices with respect to the handling of Information received through the Services and how this might impact anybody using our Services (our “clients”).

1. INFORMATION

In this Privacy Policy “Information” means all Information obtained during the use of the Services, whether in connection with our clients, the devices being used or Information transmitted through the Services. References herein to personally identifiable Information is Information about you that is personally identifiable, like your name, mobile/phone number, e-mail address, address, as well as certain other non-public Information that is associated with this personal Information. References herein to non-personally identifiable Information is Information that cannot be linked to you personally such as general Information on location, IP addresses, general demographic Information, patterns of use of the Services etc.

IF YOU ARE A USER ACCESSING THE SITE OR SERVICE FROM THE EUROPEAN UNION, THE UNITED STATES, AFRICA OR OTHER COUNTRIES IN ASIA, OR ANY OTHER REGION WITH LAWS OR REGULATIONS GOVERNING PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION, USE, AND DISCLOSURE THAT DIFFER FROM THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES, PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THROUGH YOUR CONTINUED USE OF THE SITE AND SERVICE, WHICH ARE GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES, THIS PRIVACY POLICY, AND OUR TERMS OF USE AND END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT, YOU MAY BE TRANSMITTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO COUNTRIES (INCLUDING THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES) WHERE LAWS REGARDING PROCESSING PERSONAL INFORMATION MAY BE LESS STRINGENT THAN THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION IN YOUR COUNTRY AND YOU HEREBY CONSENT TO SUCH TRANSMISSION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION.

2. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

We may collect Information regarding our clients when using our Services. This Information may be obtained from data that are provided to us by you, data that we collect from your use of the Services, Information that we collect from public sources and Information from third parties.

a. Information you provide: You may be invited to provide Information when you register to use the Services or interact with the Services. This Information might include your mobile number, your name, e-mail address, home or work address, title, position at work, employer and other such Information.

Information might also be obtained when you are invited to respond directly to requests from us, through e-mails or other forms of communication, or when you communicate directly to us for any reason.

b. Your use of our Services: We may collect other Information associated with your use of our Services. This might include, but is not limited to, the following:

i. Your use of the Services – In addition to the Information you provide to us directly, we may collect Information about your use of the Services. For example, we may collect:

  • Location — this might include your device’s GPS location at different times (launching the application, during navigation/use and when submitting data or periodically), bluetooth, settings (e.g. GPS enabled), WiFi signal strength, mobile network and associated signal strength/cell towers/beacons, your computer’s internet protocol address.
  • Device — this might include your device model, IMEI, SIM card (or equivalent number), internet protocol address, operating system version, language, browser type, settings on your device.
  • Usage — this might include Information about the time and duration and nature of the Services you use, and other Information about your engagement and interaction with content offered through a Service, and any Information stored in cookies and similar technologies that we may install on your device.

ii. Third-party Information – There may be Information we receive or obtain about you from publicly available sources or commercial sources, when permitted by law. This Information might be combined with other Information relating to you and from social media sites when you connect to the Services from such sites.

iii. Collected Information – This will include all other Information that we may collect about you, your device/s, your use of the Services.

3. USE OF INFORMATION

The Information that we obtain, either personally identifiable or non-personally identifiable, may be used for the following purposes:

a. With Your Consent — Where we obtain your consent, explicit or otherwise, we may use your Information in accordance with the associated direction.

b. To Deliver and Optimize the Services — This will include, but is not limited to, any form of registration/processing of your registration, sending e-mails and other messages to you, and activating the Services for you. This might also include providing content to you that is customized.

c. To develop new Services for you and for existing or prospective clients.

d. To Interact with You — On a periodic basis, we might seek to interact with you by providing Information about the Services and your use of the Services. This might also include interacting with you regarding your accounts, certain legal notices, bulletins, and other important and/or helpful Information. You might also send e-mails or other forms of communications to us and these may be retained to help in processing your request/inquiry, to retain a history of your account and to generally help to improve our Services.

e. To Understand Our Clients and Improve Our Services — Using Information, we may engage in research and analysis to understand and improve the use of our Services by clients. This might include personally identifiable or non-personally identifiable Information.

f. To Protect the Rights of the Services and Others — We shall retain the right to use your Information in any manner that we believe is appropriate or necessary in the interests of defending, protecting or enforcing the rights, safety, property or privacy of the Services, Cormant, Cormant’s employees and agents, and our clients. This shall include, but is not limited, to the compliance with any and all applicable laws.

4. INFORMATION SHARING

The following provides Information about entities with which we may share Information. Our practices vary depending on the type of Information.

a. Your Consent or Direction — Without any limitation to this Privacy Policy, in addition to the sharing described herein, we are permitted to share your Information with third parties whenever we obtain your consent or direction to such sharing.

b. Related parties — We may share Information with related parties of Cormant that shall continue to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

c. Social media — If you log into our Services using a social media service, or if you use a social media account to connect to our Services, we shall be entitled to share Information about you with that particular social media service provider. The social media service provider’s use of the Information shared under this provision will be governed and controlled by the social media service provider’s privacy policy as well as your social media account settings. If you do not want Information about you to be shared in this way, do not connect your social media service provider’s account with the Services.

d. Aggregated data — We may use any aggregated data for any purpose; we may share aggregated data with third parties for any purpose at our absolute discretion. Such Information is not intended to identify you individually.

e. Other Parties When Required by Law or as Necessary to Protect our Users and Services — Cormant may use or disclose your Information if we are under a duty to disclose or share your Information in order to comply with any legal obligation, in order to enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Cormant, our clients or others.

5. CHILDREN’S INFORMATION

Cormant’s Service are not intended or the use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not intentionally seek to attract anyone who is under the age of 13. Protecting the privacy of young children is naturally important to Cormant.

Cormant will not intentionally collect or retain personally or non-personally identifiable Information from users who are under 13 years of age, except to the extent permitted by law or appropriate for our regular operations. Should Information come to our attention that any personally or non-personally identifiable Information relating to clients under the age of 13 has been collected, except for the aforementioned purpose, Cormant will take such steps as may be deemed reasonable to delete such Information.

We take our responsibilities for children’s Information seriously and we encourage all parents/guardians to be involved appropriately in the online activities of their children to ensure that they are protected from any form of harm and to prevent the collection of Information on children without any necessary permissions. If it comes to your attention, of if you believe, that Cormant might have collected personally or non-personally identifiable Information about your child under the age of 13, you may contact us at the address set out at the end of this Privacy Policy for us to consider your concern.

6. SECURITY

Cormant will take reasonable precautions to protect Information in its possession from loss, unauthorized access, misuse, destruction and alteration outside the terms and conditions of use. We cannot guarantee this, however, but we have electronic, physical and other safeguards in place that are reasonable to protect Information. No method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be secure. You understand and accept the risks associated with the limitations of Information security.

7. BUSINESS TRANSITIONS AND TRANSACTIONS

Cormant reserves its rights to undertake a Business Transitions or Transaction including, but not limited to, a merger, reverse takeover, being acquired by another entity, the sale of some or all of its assets and joint ventures covering certain lines of business. Should such a Business Transition or Transaction be undertaken, the Information covered by this Privacy Policy will likely be included in the assets involved. Cormant confirms that, under any such Business Transition or Transaction, the Information will continue to receive the same protection and terms of use as set out in this Privacy Policy.

Any such Business Transition or Transaction will be announced by Cormant in a manner deemed by us to be appropriate, if at all, based on the nature of the change.

8. LAW AND PROTECTION

Cormant will collect, preserve and use your Information when we have a fair and good-faith belief that it is necessary or reasonable to do so. This will include, but not be limited to, the following:

a. Use the Information in accordance with the Terms of Use;

b. Provide the Services and to address your requests and inquiries;

c. Analyze and continue improve the Services;

d. Respond in connection with legal processes, government requests, applicable laws or regulations;

e. Enforce the adherence to our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy or other applicable terms, policies, including any steps necessary to investigate potential violations;

f. Investigate, detect, prevent, trace and address any matters relating to fraud, illegal activity, technical issues, security concerns etc. and to protect the interests, rights and safety of our clients, Cormant and Cormant’s related companies.

9. UPDATES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

We may update, amend or change our Privacy Policy from time to time as necessary for reasons determined by Cormant. The amended Privacy Policy will be published in any mobile application or the Cormant website or elsewhere for ease of reference. The Privacy Policy will state clear the date when it is modified in the “Last Updated” disclosure at the beginning of the Privacy Policy. You agree to review the Privacy Policy on a regular basis to confirm your continued agreement to the terms.

By using the Services, you confirm your acceptance of Cormant’s Privacy Policy in full and without reservation or rights. Should you not agree with the Privacy Policy at any time, then you should cease using the Services.
